Keeping fit at home

If you want to keep fit but don’t want to spend money each month on an expensive gym membership then don’t panic. There are many things already in your home that you can use as a tool to loose weight and keep fit. You probably have these already and don’t even realize!

Stairs

Your stairs can be used as a vital tool to keeping fit in many ways. Of course the first is in your every day life. Instead of using the lift at work, or in town take the stairs. Even doing this just a couple of times a day can benefit.

Also you can use your stairs as a work out tool. Do step-ups on the stairs, up 1 step and back down again. Increase your speed on this as much as possible and you will soon be having a work out without leaving the home.

Tins

When we’re doing the weekly shop, we all know how heavy tins and cans are. Make use of this. If you are doing star jumps or stretches, have a tin in each hand. This will make your work out that little bit harder and you will see the benefits even quicker.

DVD Work out

Many of us want to lose weight but are embarrassed to go to a gym or do a work out. Buy yourself a DVD (you can buy these online so you don’t even need to leave the house!) and do the work out in the comfort (and privacy) of your own home!

These may not seem like overwhelming, life changing work outs but if you keep these up over a length of time it will not be long before you start to see the benefit. You will quickly start to look and feel different and better about your self!
