Water aerobic exercises are one of the easier methods of getting fitter. When you get in the water it is a very refreshing feeling and you have a lot of fun. The resistance of your body to the water when you are moving through it is what gives you the work out. Most swimming pools will have fitness instructors available to give you advice and show you some movements that can get you the most out of your time in the water.
Disadvantages of Water Aerobics
You will not burn as much calories per minute with weight bearing exercises as you would outside the water due to the buoyancy of water. This is not so bad when you consider that fact that you can push yourself for longer in the water.
To do the water aerobic workout you will need to go to your local swimming pool this may be an inconvenience, on top of that you a also need to pay every time you go unless you have a monthly membership card.
